Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- Informed consent and declaration of authorship: the article/essay/report has not been previously published, nor has it been simultaneously submitted to another journal (or an explanation has been provided in comments to the editor during the submission process). Furthermore, the authors declare that they are aware of the ethical standards of the journal, certify the unpublished nature of the work, and declare that they have participated in the planning, design, and execution of the work.
- Style rules. The text file of the article, essay, or report has been uploaded into the format template provided by the journal in Word. In the template, the authorship data is left blank to preserve the anonymity of the document in the review process. However, it is important to have entered all the data requested by this application (introduction of metadata) about all the authors so that, once the review process has been completed and before publishing the text, this data can be added. The editorial team will ensure anonymity in the review process.
- The URL has been linked when citing web addresses and these have been shortened. The active link to the DOI of the cited articles has been added, if they have one, with this format (http://dx.doi.org/xxxxxxxxx). All bibliographical references appear cited in the text and all citations appear in the correct format in the bibliographical references at the end of the text. A spell check has been performed and double spaces have been removed. All illustrations, graphs, tables or figures appear with consecutively numbered headings within each type and contain the source. All these elements must be editable, otherwise they can be sent as an additional file.
- The summary of the text is a key element for its optimal dissemination. The terms included are converted into metadata, which allows them to be located in search engines, increasing the probability of citation. It is important that the summary clearly contains these elements: objectives, methodology, main results and main conclusions.
